Drones: The Shots That Sell the Lot (Without Overdoing It)

Photographers 2026-01-12 • 1 min JM Visuals

Drone coverage should answer one question: where is this home and what surrounds it?

The 6 aerial shots that matter

Here’s what we mean in practice:

  • Straight-down roof + property outline context
  • Front elevation with neighborhood framing
  • Backyard depth + lot shape
  • Corner-lot / acreage context (if applicable)
  • Approach shot (street → house)
  • One “beauty” wide (golden hour is best)

Don’t do this

  • Over-spin reveals
  • Too many identical heights
  • Flying too high (home becomes a dot)

Make it feel premium

  • Keep motion simple
  • Use 2–4 great shots instead of 12 okay ones
  • Match exposure and color to ground photos
